The Lenzing Spirit for China.

Mark Stubbs has been managing Lenzing’s expanding viscose fiber plant in Nanjing since 2009 and is promoting Lenzing’s corporate culture here.

Education and health were the top priorities for family man Mark Stubbs when first asked if he would like to work at Lenzing’s plant in Nanjing, China. After these conditions were met, he found out on a tour around the city sites that despite never really living and working in a city before, he was quite taken with Nanjing.

Mark Stubbs arrived in 2008 at Lenzing’s viscose factory in Nanjing, assuming the position of Chief Finance Officer with additional responsibility for IT and purchasing. When the previous General Manager Herbert Hummer left in 2009, Mr. Stubbs was asked to take charge of the facility. “My working day is always different. I am always confronted with challenges, and it is never boring. You get to meet a lot of people both inside and outside the company.”
