The London black cab could one day be seen on the streets of Sydney and Melbourne – but it will be built in China rather than the Old Dart.

China’s Geely Motors, which recently took over luxury car maker Volvo, is planning to launch a new version of the world famous cab at this month’s Shanghai motor show after doing a deal with the British company that has built the cabs in the UK since 1948.
